Wednesday November 6 and Friday November 8, at the Roger-Louret theater, at 8 p.m., the company of “sans rois” will perform a light comedy by David Guez, or how to create something new in literature knowing that everything has already been said.
The piece goes back in time from the literary history of the Chauvet caves to Game Of Thrones, from Chrétien de Troyes to Naruto, from Boris Vian to Sophocles. Each meeting is an opportunity for a colorful skit. With humor, the trio of actors (alternating: Céline Chéenne, Édouard Eftimakis, David Guez, Thibaud Guillon-Marchi, Salomé Scotto) brings down the great feathers from their pedestal with great respect and a lot of impertinence.
Each time the same question finds the same answer: we didn't invent anything, we drew on previous artists. Certainly everything has been said by others but not by the budding writer, this is precisely where the novelty lies.
Édouard Eftimakis, David Guez and Thibaud Guillon-Marchi only need a table, a chair and a typewriter to take us on their burlesque and original adventure. We bet that their enthusiasm and talent will encourage everyone to discover how traveling in literature brings great joy and that they will give rise to numerous vocations among spectators of all ages.
