Week of November 4 to 10

  • For bargain hunters: big autumn clearance sale in Charleville-Mézières. The big fall sale returns on November 8 and 9, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the heart of the city of Gonzague. These two days promise great finds and joyful encounters, with stalls overflowing with fashion, accessories, jewelry, decoration and delicacies. The ideal opportunity to stroll around, find good deals and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
  • For the whole family: exhibition on Asterix in Carignan. From November 5 to 30, 2024, the Carignan media library celebrates Asterix's birthday with an exhibition dedicated to the famous Gaul and his gang. Posters, figurines and various objects immerse visitors in the world of this legendary saga. A unique opportunity to rediscover the adventures of Asterix and Obelix, as irreducible as ever, for the pleasure of young and old.
  • For lovers: Serge Anton exhibition in Charleville-Mézières. From November 5 to January 11, the Voyelles media library in Charleville-Mézières hosts the last chapter of the artistic residency of Serge Anton, photographer and designer, within the network of Ardenne Métropole media libraries. After the success of the exhibition Up close, far away in spring 2024, Anton offers a new series of portraits entitled The Bald and Hairywhere he explores the traces left by time on bodies. An additional selection of works will be added to the exhibition on November 16, to be discovered simultaneously in Charleville-Mézières and Sedan.

Week of November 11 to 17

  • For sports enthusiasts: autumn hike in Monthermé. The Vallées et Plateau d'Ardenne tourist office, in partnership with the Joyeux Godillots de la Lyre, is organizing an autumn hike on Saturday November 16 in Monthermé. Departure is scheduled for 2 p.m. from Place Jean-Baptiste Clément for a 7 km loop. Prior registration required at one of the tourist office offices. The hike is open to everyone; It is recommended to bring suitable shoes and rain gear. Dogs are welcome, provided they are kept on a leash.
  • For laughter among friends: “Family secret” in Sedan. Get ready to experience a moment full of laughter on Sunday, November 17 at the Salle Marcillet in Sedan. In a comedy as delicate as it is hilarious, Pierre finds himself at the heart of an emotional whirlwind when his son Quentin prepares to marry Clémence, a young woman with whom he is madly in love. But everything does not go as planned: Clémence, although dazzling, only has eyes for her future father-in-law. Between an omnipresent ex-wife and an accomplice friend, Pierre will have to navigate this labyrinth of contradictory feelings to try to rectify the situation.
  • For music lovers: 9th edition of “Rap Open Mic” in Charleville-Mézières. On November 16, the André Dhôtel Social Center in Charleville-Mézières will host the 9th edition of the “Rap Open Mic” springboard, organized by MJC Calonne as part of the Urban Tracks festival. From 8:30 p.m., local rappers will have the opportunity to perform on stage during this free event, dedicated to showcasing local talent, whether beginners or experienced. The jury, made up of current music players, will select an artist who will have the chance to open for the Urban Tracks concert, scheduled for spring 2025.

Week of November 18 to 24

  • To laugh with friends: “Shit vacation” in Charleville-Mézières. The comedy “Vacances de Mer.com” arrives on November 22 in Charleville-Mézières, with a promise: to make people laugh out loud. The scenario is as simple as it is hilarious: Jean-Sébastien Pouchard, television star, goes to the Caribbean for a stay that is supposed to be heavenly. But there, the dream turns into a nightmare, and the public enjoys his misadventures.
  • For the whole family: opening of the Charleville-Mézières Christmas market. From November 23 to December 29, Charleville-Mézières is transformed into a true wonderland with the opening of its Christmas market. Located at Place Ducale, this festive event promises to delight visitors with its chalets selling artisanal products and local specialties. Walkers will be able to enjoy various activities, shows and fun workshops, all highlighting Ardennes legends. An unforgettable experience to enjoy with family or friends, in the heart of the Christmas spirit.
  • To relax: Yoga session in Givet. On Sunday, November 24, treat yourself to a well-being break with two unique workshops in Givet, in the Douceur et Bienveillance space. Start with a gentle yoga session then a Dance Art Therapy workshop. Whether you are a novice or experienced, these practices are aimed at anyone who wants to relax while moving, regardless of their age or physical condition.

Week from November 25 to December 1

  • For young and old: Saint-Nicolas craft market in Sedan. On November 30 and December 1, come to the second edition of the Saint-Nicolas craft market. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, the Cour du Château will welcome around twenty local artisans and artists in a festive and magical atmosphere. On the program: stories for children, magic shows, and meeting with Saint-Nicolas. New this year: a new exhibition room and a magician elf, not forgetting a tavern area to treat visitors with hot drinks, champagne, pancakes and local delicacies.
  • For children: movie snack in Poix-Terron. On November 27, at 3 p.m., the Crêtes media libraries invite young and old to a movie snack as part of their “Pages deseasons” program, initiated by the Grammage network. On the program: the screening of the cartoon Zombilléniumfollowed by a quiz hosted by La Pellicule Ensorcelée, all complemented by a friendly snack. As places are limited, reservations are required by email.
