Archives, Gossip, Deluxe, IAM, Simple Minds, Calogero, Pomme, Louise Attaque and Alice Cooper had shaken up the 2024 edition of Guitar Break. The 2025 edition of the festival which will be held in (Tarn) from 1is to July 5 looks just as enticing.

“It promises to be even more crazy and daring. The good old values have not been forgotten. Rock and its spirit are our DNA, like Jean-Louis' old shoes. But we also make room for new sounds, for those who shake up the codes and dare mix genres like your peach beer. Pause Guitare is the festival that is constantly reinventing itself! », promised the organizing association, Arpèges and Trémolos a few days ago.

An international megastar who will be rare this summer

THE first names of the 29e edition were revealed this Tuesday, November 5, 2024. And it's heavy. With in particular an international megastar: Sting !

The English singer crowned with 17 Grammy awards will only perform at two festivals in next summer, including that of Albi, on Friday July 4. You will have to pay between 48 and 68 euros to see him (as well as the other artists scheduled that day).

Julien Doré will also be on display, but the day before, on Thursday July 3. And we already know one of the other artists who will accompany him on the main stage of Pratgraussals that day: Ben Mazue. For a day at prices varying between 44 and 64 euros.

A return to the foot of the cathedral

But this is not the only announcement of the festival… The organizers have confirmed that the event will return to the foot of Sainte-Cécile Cathedral for three new evenings, from 1is to July 3, before returning to the Pratgraussals leisure center from July 3 to 5.

To find out other names, you will have to wait until November 25… But by then, some places will undoubtedly no longer be available. The ex-singer and bassist of Police played at the festival (Aude) last summer. Announced in December, his concert was sold out in just three days…

Note that Sting had already played in Albi. It was in 2012. Julien Doré had already come more recently. In 2022.

As for Ben Mazué, it was in 2021, on the stage of the grand theater.
