He is an active thief to say the least who was tried by the Clermont-Ferrand criminal court. According to The Mountainthis 23-year-old young man broke into four pharmacies in Gerzat and Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) in three days, in order to steal cash.
In front of the judges and pharmacists present during the trial, he confided that he had done this because he was hungry. Even if his lawyer explains that he is a desperate man, the eleven entries on his criminal record do not speak in his favor.
15 months in prison for the accused
Caught in the act by video surveillance cameras, the suspect confesses everything. In order to enter the pharmacies, he notably used a concrete block and a manhole cover. As loot, he left with 200 euros twice, then 72 euros and 750 euros, for a total of around 1,000 euros.
Arrested in a Travelers camp, he says he does not want to harm anyone. The victims told him during the trial that his actions caused them to lose working time and incurred repair costs. The accused, who admits to having attacked the pharmacies because they were on his route, receives 15 months in prison, three of which are suspended on probation.
