The Dembéni technopole, inaugurated the day before, will host the 14th economic forum of the Indian Ocean islands from Tuesday to Thursday. This is the major meeting dedicated to business in the region, Mayotte has not hosted it for 15 years.
Mayotte will once again host the Indian Ocean Islands Economic Forum from Tuesday November 5 to Thursday November 7, 15 years after the last edition on Mayotte soil. Nearly 600 entrepreneurs from the region will gather at the Dembéni technopole, inaugurated this Monday. These professionals come from the Comoros, Madagascar, Mozambique, Kenya, Seychelles and even Reunion Island.
For this edition, the central theme is “regional production.” The ideal opportunity for Mahorese companies to find new suppliers or customers in the region. Participants will have access to three rooms dedicated to individual meetings between professionals. Numerous workshops and round tables are also planned around themes such as: “artisanal production, the search for partnerships for the transition to an environmentally friendly industrial scale” or even “tourists, consumers of products from our islands.”
This event is organized locally by the CCI, the technopole, the department and ADIM, the Mayotte development and innovation agency. For these actors the objective is also stated: to show entrepreneurs in the region that our department is an innovative territory, ideal for doing business. ADIM has already started, by publishing on its social networks portraits of companies such as Laiterie de Mayotte, Ekwali and the Mayotte data center.
