How was the start of this season?
Sportingly, these are mixed results for our first teams: for NM2, the group has never been complete since the start of the season and the quality of play still needs to be improved. And for NF2, it's a group that's almost 100% renewed and is having trouble finding its feet. That said, the respective staffs have our confidence to succeed in making our teams shine.
New recruits? How old?
In NM2, we have joined: Nathan Vuillaume (18 years old) and who returns to the club after spending a year in the United States, Benjamin Mirabli (28 years old), Thomas Gauchet (27 years old), Christnel Jean François (31 years old) and Junior Fontaine (19 years old).
For NF2, there is Marene Diop (30 years old), Nasserine William (24 years old), Shan Masson (22 years old) and Safiatou Mariko (24 years old).
What is the state of mind of the players for this season?
He is very good, they are all aware of what the club can promise them and our difficulties on the sporting side, I will let the coaches answer the question.
What are the objectives for this season and for the future?
We are still in the financial recovery of the club, the management control commission of the FFBB will not authorize us to move up until our financial situation has returned to balance. Consequently, our sporting ambitions are to maintain our 1st teams at current levels. However, we remain ambitious with an increase in the quality of our young sector. With the development, among others, of the SKF basketball academy.
What is your ranking nationally? Which teams stand out?
We play in N2 for boys and girls which is the 4th French level for our 1 teams. We have a Girls team in N3 and an U18 team in the Elite division; the highest possible level for this category. It's still early to give favorites.
What are the decisive championships?
I can't say that there is one championship more decisive than another. ALL JURA BASKET is a whole. The training of our young people in U11, U13, etc. is as important as our results in N2.
We have also always been a mixed club and it is important to remain so. The club will only function well with a quality training network and premier teams which allow us to have visibility, quality coaches and an efficient structure.
15-25 year olds are less motivated to play sports. What do you notice on your side? What message can you send to this age group?
It is difficult for us to make this observation at the club, all our age groups are almost complete and we unfortunately were not able to meet the demand after the Olympics effect.
If I had a message to convey to our young people, it would be the following: to be a high-level athlete you need a healthy lifestyle: training at least 3 times a week, a good diet, working on your self-confidence, be accompanied by professional and attentive trainers and above all: no sugary drinks in the evening, no cell phones or screens before sleeping.
