An intervention is underway at the Crayfish waterfall and on the Corossol river in Petit-Bourg in Guadeloupe following a sudden rise in water levels linked to ongoing storms. Three victims were brought to safety by emergency services at the waterfall and around ten people are still stranded on the opposite bank of the river but are safe.

In the event of storms, it is dangerous to venture onto the watercourses. Once again the sudden rise in water levels trapped many people on the Corossol River in Petit-Bourg. Around ten people found themselves stranded on the opposite bank of the river. However, they are safe.

At the crayfish waterfall, three people found themselves in difficulty. One was able to be brought to safety by a witness. The other two stuck in the river bed on a rock had to be airlifted by the firefighters and Dragon 971. They were brought to safety, unharmed and returned to the care of their loved ones.

The seven people surprised by the flood at the Cascade aux Ecrevisses were left with quite a scare – 07/31/2024.
