Budget 2025: Indre-et-Loire MP Daniel Labaronne “imagines there will be a 49.3”

While the examination of the State budget and social security resumes this Monday, November 4 at the National Assembly, the deputy for the 2nd constituency of Indre-et- Daniel Labaronne was the guest of Bleu Touraine .

The state budget and that of social security are once again under debate in the National Assembly this week. These discussions promise to be heated as the government wants to save 60 billion euros and since the dissolution, it no longer has a majority in the Assembly. Among the deputies from Ensemble pour la République, Emmanuel Macron's party, very present in the chamber since the start of the debates on the budget, there is that of the second constituency of Indre-et-Loire, Daniel Labaronne . He was the guest of France Bleu Touraine this Monday, November 4.

The EPR deputy announced that as it stands, he would not vote on the state budget. “There are still 1,500 amendments to examine and we are already at 30 billion euros in additional taxes compared to the Prime Minister’s roadmap”explains Daniel Labaronne who describes these amendments as “a veritable tax hell”. The Touraine deputy and former mayor of Bléré also believes that local authorities “must be held accountable for this issue of the budget deficit” even if the majority of efforts to reduce public spending will weigh on “the State, which will have to reduce its lifestyle.”

Daniel Labaronne recognizes that in the Finance Committee currently, the government is making a series of snubs (such as the abolition of the SNU, the Universal National Service on Wednesday October 30). However, he counts on “the wisdom of the Senate to reverse a certain number of provisions.” The deputy imagines that then, after passing through the Joint Joint Commission, the text will be submitted to the Assembly “who will vote for it or not, and then there will be a 49.3.”
