In Bagnols, the call for projects for priority city districts (QPV) 2025 was launched in the presence of Mathias Nieps, sub-prefect of Gard, in charge of city policy. Then, Maria-Alice Pelé, the vice-president of the Occitanie region, responsible for city policy, came to meet the actors of the City contract.
The first meeting concerning the calls for projects for the QVP was presented by Michèle Fond-Thurial, councilor of the Gard Rhone agglomeration, delegate for city policy, deputy mayor of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, responsible, between others, social dialogue.
The territory of the agglomeration has two districts classified QPV: in Pont-Saint-Esprit, the old center and its 1,290 inhabitants and in Bagnols Les Escanaux – La Citadelle – La Coronelle and Vigan-Braquet and its 4,400 inhabitants.
Not concerned by city policy, Saint-Nazaire which “has 100 families particularly in difficulty”, according to its mayor, Gérald Missour, could be occasionally.
One of the Nazairian sectors has been identified “pocket of vulnerability” according to the criteria of housing density and poverty. “As such, it will also be possible to occasionally and under certain conditions allow people to benefit from urban policy studies and actions,” mentions the prefectural document Neighborhoods 2030; city contract for Gard Rhone 2024-2030.

Noting “differences in financing”he announced “that now it will be per package and we reserve the right to adjust the subsidies upwards and to benefit from additional actions”.
Regional funds for projects
For Bagnols, he will particularly look at those relating to “economic development, improvement of the living environment, academic success”.
For the timetable, the deadline for receiving files is December 20 and the first notifications are sent at the beginning of April.
During another meeting led by Maria-Alice Pelé, vice-president of the Region, responsible for city policy, the regional advisor explained to QPV stakeholders the system “The Region in my neighborhood; Neighborhood 2030 Commitments”. As a result, regional and European funds will be devoted to the projects.
