The King of Spain Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were attacked by the victims while they were visiting Paiporta. Caught in an atmosphere of rare violence, the royal couple had to cut short their visit, something never seen before in the entire history of the Spanish monarchy.

The King and Queen of Spain had come to show their support for the victims but it was with insults and mud throwing that the royal family and the Spanish government were received. After six days of drama and floods, residents of the Valencia region showed all their anger. More particularly in Paiporta, the city most bereaved by the terrible floods which left more than 200 dead, where the authorities went on Sunday November 3 afternoon.

Faced with the distress of the victims with their cries of distress, the Queen of Spain received a flood of accusations, often aimed at Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Despite some residents trying to ease the strong pressure, Queen Letizia could not hold back her tears. A young man, exhausted, called out to King Felipe VI, before collapsing in his arms. The royal couple's official visit was completely turned upside down. A second planned in another affected village was even canceled.
