For the victims, it has been five days since relief has been insufficient and thousands of volunteers have had to flock from all over Spain to help their compatriots with the means at hand Indignation is also growing at the provisional toll announced by the government and which would be well below reality according to the victims. “They say there are around 200 dead but it's much more. There are still a lot of bodies in the basements”denounces a resident of the city.
In Paiporta, some residents do not have the strength to shout their anger. Tuesday evening, when the river invaded the streets of Paiporta, a resident found herself stuck in her convenience store. As she tried to escape, the current toppled a heavy stack of pallets on top of her. Luckily, she was rescued in time by a stranger. Throughout the region, there are still dozens of missing people.
