The demonstration by VTC drivers will slow down the ring road and access to Toulouse-Blagnac airport on Monday morning. In fact, the latter are carrying out a snail operation from the Pink City all morning. Around fifty vehicles are expected to circulate at low speed on the Toulouse ring roads on this Monday back to school.

Demanding better remuneration for their trips and regulation of the sector, the VTC drivers will leave together from Sesquières at 7:30 a.m. They will then head towards Boulevard de l'Embouchure from 8 a.m., before heading onto the ring road.

“We cost less than public transport”

To express their anger, drivers are opting for a snail-like operation and not for a total blocking of the expressways. “We don’t want to penalize road users,” says Faissal, one of the organizers of the movement.

Once arrived at Toulouse-Blagnac airport, drivers will park for around an hour on the Amsterdam and Envol roundabouts, near the terminal. Access to parking lots will remain possible.

The approximately 50 VTC drivers will then go to Tournefeuille, passing in front of the offices of a famous online VTC platform. “We are asking that the platforms stop registering new drivers, complains Faissal. Today, if we drive a family in an electric car for a trip, we cost less than public transport.”

The demonstrators will end the snail operation around midday, after arriving in Compans, in downtown Toulouse.
