From July 20 to August 9, music combines with the rich heritage of Cahors and the surrounding area

ClassiCahors, twelve musical events

VSlassiCahors is celebrating its 9th edition this year. Since 2016, this festival dedicated to classical music has enchanted the most famous places of Cadurcian heritage such as the courtyard of the Prefecture or the Saint-Barthélémy church, and ventures into some pretty villages in the surrounding area. This year, he will spread his musical notes to Lherm, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie or even in the Jardins d’Henri Martin, in Labastide-du-Vert. Under the artistic direction of Emmanuel Palaprat, the poster is once again promising. ClassiCahors invites recognized musicians and ensembles, such as the Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse, a faithful present every year, Jean-François Zygel, who will put “Cahors en Musique”, but also young talents like the young pianist Hyuk Lee . Ensembles such as the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra, the Sacqueboutiers and the Dutilleux quartet will be there.

All styles are represented: recital, chamber music, orchestra, solo piano, klezmer music, popular and sacred music… So that all audiences, music lovers or simply curious, can come and experience the music. For this, the prices remain very accessible: between 15 and 32€. Free for under 18s, under certain conditions.

And to emphasize conviviality, “after-concerts” invite you to share a table with local products to end the evening gently.
