This Monday morning, around 10 a.m., the hearing opened with the very formal verification of the identities of the eight co-accused. Before the end of the week, the hearings of the personality investigators, the questioning of the background of the accused, the hearing of witnesses and civil parties will follow.

This is already the second trial into the macabre assassination of Samuel Paty which has opened. Last year, six college students were convicted for their role in the attack (in particular, they helped Abdoullakh Anzorov locate the professor). Since they were minors in 2020, they were tried separately.

Originally from Saint-Denis de La Réunion, the young man, a nursing student in Paris when the Samuel Paty affair broke out, was accused by the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office (PNAT) of having supported the Chechen in his attack plan before that he does not commit it.
