“Destroyed again”
The Rugby Club Romans-Péage (RCRP), of which the deceased young man was a member, paid tribute to him on its Facebook page, saying “annihilated again” by this death “in terrible circumstances”. It was also within the RCRP that young Thomas played, killed during a ball in Crépol (Drôme) in November 2023.

The shooting, which is believed to be linked to drug trafficking, broke out around 2:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a nightclub in Saint-Péray (Ardèche), west of Valence, according to a police source. According to the first elements of the investigation, the perpetrator of the shots was dressed in black and had his face hidden under a hood. He fired a handgun before fleeing.
