It is a village of less than 240 inhabitants in the far north of Tarn. But he will still have a école. And a nursery. The foundation stone of the establishment was symbolically laid recently in Thousands. The opening is planned for the start of the school year September 2025.


The Department of Tarn invested 332,000 euros in this project which also obtained 275,000 euros from the State to build this multi-reception school group. This new structure will accommodate children from 3 months.

Six classes to come south of

At the same time, another project was taking shape south of Albi, Terre-de-Bancalié. A larger municipality (around 1,700 inhabitants). But who will also soon have their school group.

A restricted project management competition based on a sketch was launched a few days ago for the construction of this building of approximately 1,717 m² of floor space which will also accommodate a leisure center in the hamlet of Roumégoux. There will be six classes in total from kindergarten to elementary school.


The project is estimated at around 4.5 million euros excluding taxes. The start of studies is planned for May 2025. The overall duration of the operation, from notification of the project management contract, is 38 months, specifies the market.

A few weeks ago, it was Dénat800 inhabitants, south of Albi, which had inaugurated such equipment with four classrooms.
