In Orne, a resident poisoned after a fire in Val-au-Perche

A fire broke out on the night of November 1 to 2, 2024 in a home in the town of Val-au-Perche (Orne). Slightly intoxicated, an occupant of the house was transported to the Nogent-le-Rotrou hospital center (Eure-et-Loir).

A fire broke out in a house on the night of Friday 1is to Saturday November 2, 2024 around midnight in Theil-sur-Huisne, in the commune of Val-au-Perche (Orne).

The trail of the accident

According to the gendarmes, an occupant of the house, a 63-year-old woman, was “slightly intoxicated” by the fumes, then transported to the Nogent-le-Rotrou hospital center (Eure-et-Loir). The 70 m house2 was destroyed. The gendarmerie favors the accident trail.

The intervention required the movement of 21 firefighters from the emergency centers of Val-au-Perche, Céton, La Ferté-Bernard, Nogent-le-Rotrou and Alençon. They were mobilized until 4 a.m.
