Tennis in Metz: let’s go for Moselle Open 2024

The Arenas will vibrate from Saturday 02 to Saturday 09 November 2024 for the 21st edition of the Open. This year again, the ATP 250 tournament displays a particularly attractive sporting picture, and player names at the highest level in the world.

From the qualifications, which will take place on Saturday 02 and Sunday 03 Novemberthe names of certain players should arouse the attention of those who keep an eye on the sport. Arthur CAZAUX, who has just stopped in the 8th final against Casper RUUDE (also present in Metz, as top seed), the French Benjamin BONZI, Pierre-Hugues HERBERT, Luca VAN ASSCHE or the young Moselle hopeful Théo PAPAMALAMIS, for which this will be the first ATP 250 tournament.

4 players will come out of this qualifying phase to join those in the main draw. The organizers of the Moselle Open have no reason to shy away from the names who wanted to play in the Metz set, nor from their ranking.

5 players in the world's Top 20 at the ATP

No less than 3 Top 10 will come to defend their chance in 2024 at the Moselle Open: Andrey RUBLEV (7th), Casper RUUD (8th), Grigor DIMITROV (9th). In the peloton of top 20just behind, we find Holger RUNE (13th) and Metz and title holder Ugo HUMBERT, who has just beaten world No. 2, Carlos ALCARAZ, at the Bercy tournament.

Add to this list Lorenzo SONEGO (winner of Moselle Open in 2022), Alexander SHEVCHENKO, the Marlian Harold MAYOT, the French Hugo GASTON, Richard GASQUET, Adrian MANNARINO, Corentin MOUTET and Arthur RIINDERKNECH (who lost at Bercy against DIMITROV ) to name just a few, and you will be sure to have encounters full of color as well as performance, whatever day you attend a match (there are a few tickets left here).

A start under the sign of spectacle

The draw for the Moselle Open 2024 qualifying table took place just after a roaring start and to the laughter of an audience delighted to discover the match exhibition men’s doubles concocted by the organizers.

The Mosellan Olivier MUTIS was in fact associated with the famous and indescribable Mansour BAHRAMI to face the duo Jo-Wilfied TSONGA / Dustin BROWN. The latter won the match, but this anecdote had little importance for the public, very quickly won over by the spirit, the relaxation and the players' escapades… under the nose of a referee who (fortunately) had to swallow several times his desire to signal moves that were as forbidden as they were amusing.

After this moment, which is very popular with the spectators, it's time for the tournament, starting with the qualifications which should attract more and more people every year.
