The health equality association continues its actions to defend its vision of the reorganization of healthcare provision in central and southern Haute-Marne. Gabriel Attal has received a letter, a motion is being submitted to the vote of the southern municipalities and an expected meeting with a representative of the Ministry of Health seems out of time.

The meeting scheduled for June 11 will not take place. It was a man named Mr. Bubien, representative of the Ministry of Health, who was announced by Laurent Aubertot, president of the PETR of Langres. Between the mayor of Aprey, announcing himself as a supporter of equal health, and the secretariat of the office of the Minister of Health, there are numerous exchanges by email. “We are sad not to see you next Tuesday, June 11. We understand that your schedule is very busy, but it is more than urgent and more than necessary that you meet with the Health Equality Caregivers. (…) Thus, in order to avoid a health fiasco for central and southern Haute-Marne, you must listen to the Equality-Santé project, this association being very constructive and proactive. We are in constant contact with your colleagues, and as agreed, we will call again next Monday to find out the new date of your coming “to us””, wrote Laurent Aubertot again this Wednesday.

Health Equality has not let down its guard and continues its actions. At the moment, municipal councils in Sud-Haute-Marne are being asked whether or not to take a motion opposing the proposed new healthcare offer. And a series of letters went out in the second half of May, including one addressed to Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. “The obligation to soon obtain 20 billion euros in savings taking into account our country’s debt will require foresight and courage”begins Véronique Midy, co-president of Egalité santé and signatory of the letter entitled “Spend less and yet treat better: Chiche”.

Guests to talk about health

This open letter was also sent to Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Health, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy and Finance, Thomas Cazenave, Minister in charge of Public Accounts and Frédéric Valletoux, Minister Delegate in charge of Health and prevention. “Great to work with you (…). Hard to quantify the care needs of our hyper-rural territory, those of today but also those of tomorrow of a smaller population but which, as it ages, becomes more hospital-requiring (…)”, says Véronique Midy in this open letter. She invites ministers to come to these “benevolent territories where your arrival is not expected in a formal way but to work with you, for the good of both the health of our fellow citizens and the finances of our country. »
