Still in training after an ankle injury during the summer, Adam Siao Him Fa, who skated to the theme of “ Gangsters’Paradise »missed the landing of a quadruple toe loop and a triple axel at the start of the program this Friday at the French Grand Prix.

He placed his back somersault, now authorized in competition, at the very end of the program and obtained a score of 74.80 which placed him 8th out of 12.

Far ahead of him, it was the Chinese Jin Boyang who took the lead with 88.12 pts ahead of the Estonian Aleksandr Selevko (85.73 pts) and the Japanese Kazuki Tomono.

“Far from perfect”

Despite his fantastic comeback from 19th to 3rd place at the last Worlds in March, Siao Him Fa is putting much less pressure on himself for the freestyle where he will skate on Saturday to the music of the film Dune.

“I didn’t set big goals for myself in terms of space or results. The goal is for me to return to the circuit little by little”he put it into perspective, in a mixed zone. “It was far from perfect, I know that very well. I made mistakes, it happens to everyone. Other errors could have been avoided. I still remain quite optimistic in the sense that in parts where I had more difficulty, this evening, it has passed. Now I'm going to move forward and we're going to see the free program tomorrow. »
