Some will discover and others will rediscover these 19th century masterpieces. At Hangar Y, located in (Hauts-de-Seine), a new exhibition takes visitors on an experience as immersive as it is contemplative.

From November 1, 2024 to February 16, 2025, virtual reality is at the service of art. The paintings of Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh as well as the shapes of Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia are revealed in another light. The helmet on the eyes gives a fresh look for young and old visitors.

At the heart of the workshops

Behind the immense glass roof of this 19th century hangarinaugurated at the beginning of 2023 after two years of work, the exhibition is installed upstairs, on either side of the main room.

“The extraordinary workshops” invites visitors to travel into the lairs of the three artists.

Through the parade of seasons observed in the garden of Giverny, the viewer is also immersed in a dialogue between Claude Monet and his friend Georges Clemenceau. A virtual journey in Van Gogh's palette also reveals the colors and works of the Dutch painter. The visitor is carried away by the voice of Marguerite, one of the last women whose portrait he painted.

Finally, by discovering Antonio Gaudi's studio, the viewer goes back in time for an immersive journey where they discover the artist's major work: the Sagrada Familia. From a model to a life-size sketch of the Catalan monument until it emerges from the ground… The spectator witnesses all the stages of this revolutionary construction and inspiring.
