Running: one of the most beautiful trails in Cahors returns on June 9

It’s on a circuit still magnificenton the hills of heights of Cahors and some Lot valleythat the runners of the‘Extrail des Côtes du Lot will be able to have fun on Sunday June 9, 2024. Almost no road, paths in the countryside, good elevation changes, viewpoints and heritage are on the program for the two races and the hike, which want to combine sport and conviviality.

Trail 13 or 26 km on the paths above Cahors

The race always has three formats: a 13 km trail with 400 meters of elevation gain, a 26 km trail with 1100 meters of elevation gain, but also a 10 km walk on an independent circuit and for the youngest, a race child in front of the departure site, La Prade room in Pradines.

Departures take place every half hour from 8:30 a.m. (26 km trail) to 10 a.m. (children’s race). After the success of the first two editions which brought together 350 participants despite the rain, this year, 400 people are expected… The sun is also hoped for…

A festive and friendly race

As always, the race will be festive with a friendly welcome, refreshments for all races, and at the finish, the presence of food trucks and ice trucks for meals, pancakes and drinks from the social center, always a drink of local beer offered to participants, such as a bottle of wine offered on presentation of the bib. With a bonus this year, the possibility of massages offered by Valérie Faillat to perk up after exercise.

For children, in addition to the race, Cap Nature will install giant inflatable games.

Registrations are open on Chronostart and on the Extrapedestrians website until Friday June 7, 2024, registrations also possible on Saturday June 8 afternoon at Intersport (and until Sunday morning for the children’s walk and run).
