A homicide was committed last night in the town of Calenzana in Balagne. A man in his sixties was killed. The circumstances of this homicide and the method of operation remain to be determined. Investigators are still on site, and still making findings.
Passersby discovered a car riddled with bullets near a gas station on Thursday October 31. Emergency services were called at 11:43 p.m., the victim was already dead when they arrived on scene. Criminal identification technicians (TIC), technical and scientific police specialists, were at work this Friday morning. They identified several bullet holes. According to initial findings, it appears that the sixty-year-old was in the vehicle when the acts were committed.
The flagrant investigation was entrusted, as part of a joint referral, to the gendarmerie research section and the judicial police. According to our information, the victim was known to the courts.
