The former FCAG captain and his son Paul, current Stade Toulousain player, are the sponsors of the next collection of the Gers Food Bank, scheduled for November 22 and 23 in around fifty supermarkets.
“Solidarity is a common value shared by Rugby and the Food Bank.” One sentence was enough for President Laurent Talbot to show to what extent this sponsorship seemed to flow naturally.
It is nevertheless with great pride that he welcomed this Thursday, October 31 Stéphane Graou, former international and ex-captain of the FCA, and his son Paul, scrum half of Stade Toulousain, champion of France and Europe , at the headquarters of the association's Gers office, located Chemin de Baron in Auch. “They have agreed to be the sponsors of our new collection which will take place on November 22 and 23 in 48 Gers supermarkets,” he commented.
A great advertisement for the Gers Food Bank, three weeks before a decisive meeting in the life of the association which indirectly helps 9,000 Gers residents, or 5% of the population of the department, through its agreements with local associations. “We will mobilize around 500 volunteers and it is a very important moment for us,” agrees Laurent Talbot, who hopes to collect “between 40 and 50 tonnes” on this occasion. “With the two collections, those of autumn and spring, we manage to collect 90 tonnes on average, which constitutes 20% of the donations we make to the 28 associations with which we are linked”, he continues.
The appointment is therefore made for Friday November 22, the launch day of the collection, in the presence of the prefect of Gers Laurent Carrié.
