It is a form of crime that affects Geneva and many other cities across Europe. Businessmen who drive luxury cars and wear a Patek Philippe or a Rolex on their wrist run the risk of having their precious watch snatched by delinquents who are more or less well trained in the maneuver.
One of these thugs, who had committed violence three times with an accomplice before fleeing, was finally caught in Italy where he was already serving a 4-year sentence for theft. Handed over to the Swiss authorities by this country which extradites its own nationals, the Neapolitan was sentenced this Tuesday to 3 years in prison with partial suspension, the final part being set at 12 months. Not to mention a 5-year expulsion.
