Enchantée Julia, or soul made in France

What if we finally had a real soul singer in France? A crooner? A melodist capable of making Nougaro's tongue groove with the sound of Lauryn Hill. This rare gem is called Enchantée Julia, we were delighted to meet her in 2019 with Loophis first EP. Right away, we understood the miss's talent for creating sensual songs, her mischief for playing with words and her charm for bringing together the best of French rap around her.

Enchantée Julia has also collaborated with Lossapardo, Benjamin Epps, Terrenoire and of course, with her soul mate, the rapper Prince Waly. It is in her native Provence that this fan of Erykah Badu and Ella Fitzgerald returned with her close guard to write a new chapter in her career, the famous first album.
Sophisticated arrangements, refined vocal inflections bordering on lyrical or scat, Enchantée Julia worked to make each word ring out, to specify each melodic line to make bodies vibrate, touch souls and dance her ringlets.

Love indeed remains the great subject of her colorful songs, even if this instinctive and demanding composer does not spare herself some spiritual questions, because soul is of course a sound, a color but it is also in the head.
