It is with a brand new formula that the Cocc athletics is offering its annual trail this Friday, November 1, in Coulounieix-Chamiers, in partnership with “DL”.

No more Cocc Ridges, now time for the Halloween run! “We wanted to innovate with a particular concept, linked to an event,” explains Raphaël Rialland, member of the organizing club.

And this year, the organization focused on just one distance instead of two. The runners will therefore be grouped together on a twelve-kilometer course, with 250 meters of positive altitude difference. “It is a wooded route, which will criss-cross the commune of Coulounieix-Chamiers up to the border with Coursac,” explains Raphaël Rialland. And there will only be one refreshment point, halfway through. »

Thrill zones on the course…

And if there is only one route, there will undoubtedly be two atmospheres. With those who will compete and those who will come to celebrate Halloween. “We challenged the runners to dress up for the occasion, by organizing a competition for the most beautiful disguise, with rewards,” warns Raphaël Rialland. And to really get into the theme, the organization has even planned a few thrilling areas on the course. You will therefore need to have your headlamp firmly attached to avoid unpleasant surprises!

“By linking it to the date of Halloween, we want a festive atmosphere,” says the manager. We will even offer runners the opportunity to continue the evening with a small post-race meal, for 5€ per person, in the Gérard-Philipe room. »

The Cocc and its fifty volunteers therefore hope to attract crowds during this school holiday period. Even if, four days before the event, barely more than fifty participants had registered online. But with rather sunny weather over the next few days, this number should increase. “We're going a little into the unknown with this soiree on a Friday evening. But if we welcome between 150 and 200 participants, the bet will be successful. »
