Romain Collaud somehow wrote history this Saturday in Alle on the occasion of the Jura cantonal festival. The 22-year-old from Friborg has indeed won a title that had not been awarded for 43 years! Broyard returned a record of 5 wins for a draw, in the third pass against Benjamin Gapany. The federal crowned Vallon beat Singinois Steven Moser in the final pass.

Alone in the lead after five passes, Romain Collaud put on the back during the last fight of the day with a kurz after 5’25 of effort an opponent who had been preferred to Benjamin Gapany who had the same total (48.25, like Moser). Le Broyard won the fourth crown festival of his career in the Jura, his first of the year.

The Kerzers club did well by obtaining five of the sixteen crowns distributed thanks to Lario Kramer (3e of the final ranking), Sven Hofer (4a), Thomas Stoll (5b), Janis Wieland (6c) and Sandro Balimann (8b). The representatives of the Estavayer-le-Lac club also had every reason to celebrate. In the wake of winner Romain Collaud, Grégoire Loup indeed obtained his first crown.

In all, twelve people from Friborg – out of sixteen crowns distributed – brought home laurels. As at Saint-Galloise, the Gruériens Benjamin Gapany (ranked 2e rank) and Paul Tornare increased their award collections. Singinese Steven Moser, Silvan Zbinden and Dario Zbinden complete the tally.
