The diversion of the RN102 linking the A75 and Brioude consists of creating a new two-lane section with a length of 7.8 km where users can travel at 110 km/h. It connects the Largelier deviation to the A75 motorway, on the Lempdes-sur-Allagnon interchange.

Road network disrupted by bad weather, operating services still mobilized

The storms of Thursday October 17, having heavily affected the Haute-, also had consequences on the commissioning of the RN102 as explained by the prefecture. Despite several last minute disappointments, the new start date has been set for Monday October 28. State services clarified that they “understand the inconveniences due to the various setbacks that have occurred. User safety remains the absolute priority. All measures are taken to guarantee optimal commissioning. »

An operation worth 86.5 million euros

Supported in particular by Jean-Pierre Vigier, the operation started in 2020 amounts to 86.5 million euros, including 63.5 million euros financed by the State. “Waited for 40 years”, in the words of the MP, the deviation is not finished. The Arvant and Cohade interchanges are still under construction. The works should be delivered at the end of 2025.
