The A1 motorway will be closed for nine nights between Gland and Coppet, from May 27 to July 11, for surfacing and safety systems work.
The A1 motorway will be closed between the junctions of Gland and Coppet for nine nights between May 27 and July 11. Work is planned to install the final coating as well as the speed harmonization and danger warning system.
What to remember for the Geneva-Lausanne axis
- The motorway will first be closed between Nyon and Coppet (direction Geneva), then between Nyon and Coppet (direction Lausanne).
- These closures, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., will however not take place over the entire period, but for nine nights.
- Diversions will be put in place on the secondary network, the Federal Roads Office announced on Monday.
What to remember for the Lausanne-Yverdon axis
Still on the A1 but in the north of Vaud, the motorway will also be closed at night
- Between Yverdon-Sud and Essert-Pittet from May 28 to June 4. These closures aim to replace the wearing course.
- Finally, between May 28 and 30, the motorway will be closed on Chaussée Alpes, direction Bern, between the Yverdon interchange and the Yverdon-Sud junction.
- During the nights of May 30 to June 4, the Jura roadway will be closed off, towards Lausanne, between the Yverdon Sud and Essert-Pittet junctions. Here too, diversions will be put in place.
