Essonne: Ground Control invites you to discover a living space of the future

Barbecue, meetings, concerts, DJ sets, activities for children, outdoor games, workshops… Ground Controlplace of life and cultural actor located in Parisgoes to the heart of the Beauce in Essonne THE June 23 for a day outside the walls, at the farm Mesnil.

The farmer Maxime Petit will open the doors to his 300-hectare cereal farm, for which he imagines a new future, called AlterEgo. Appointment is given from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Boissy-la-Rivière (Mesnil-Girault) to discover this place that wants to revolutionize the future.

A collective living space dedicated to the ecological transition

Determined to “change and diversify its production methods to adapt to ecological imperativeshe took on the somewhat crazy challenge of transforming his land into a “collective living space dedicated to the agroecological transitionpromoting conviviality and social bonds”.

Ground Control sees itself playing a role in this ambitious project. “Upon discovering Maxime’s farm, we threw ourselves into the somewhat crazy idea of ​​creating a bridge between these two places, imagining being able to supply the kitchens of Ground Control thanks to the farm, while at the same time participating in the transformation of its farm”, explain the local teams.

This day will therefore be an opportunity to discover behind the scenes of the farm and to reflect on the AlterEgo project, all in a “friendly and festive atmosphere fashionable Ground Control.

The program :

  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m.: Opening aperitif and DJ set;
  • 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Outdoor lunch (Barbecue with the Beaumont farm & salad bar with Champs Libres);
  • 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m.: Aperitif-debate on agricultural living spaces, with Guillaume Faburel, Maxime Petit, Bony Chatagnon and moderated by Samuel Chabré;
  • 4 p.m.-5 p.m.: Cuban music concert by Cuarteto Cubano;
  • 5 p.m.-6 p.m.: Closing aperitif and DJ set.

Activities are planned throughout the day: exhibition on the Alter Ego project, visit to the farm in several sessions (groups of 10/20 people), tastings of local products, workshops (gardening, games, demonstration of the work of shepherd dogs, etc.). ), outdoor games (pétanque, ping pong, mölkky, cornhole), refreshment bar, sale of crepes and artisanal ice creams by Champs Libres.
