Museum

After two months of closure, the Cécile-Sabourdy museum in Vicq-sur-Breuilh reopens on Saturday June 1st. On the program: at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., guided tours focused on the theme of chance and the history of an object. Indeed, the new temporary exhibition, called “The language of objects – Popular art, Pierre Hénin collection” offers remarkable objects, tools, instruments from a bygone everyday life, brought together by the great Nîmes collector Pierre Hénin. From 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Museum Friends Club will offer to taste flower fritters, aromatic leaves and rose pastries in the castle courtyard. Show

Saturday June 1, from 8:30 p.m., The Teenagers will perform at the Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche conference hall. For more than 2.5 hours, the sixty-five dancers will take the public on a journey through twenty-five scenes, each more breathtaking than the last. From waltz to urban through cabaret style and their traditional cancan. Prices: €10 adults, €7 students and under 16s, free under 6s. Refreshments and pastries on site. Without reservation. Saturday June 1, at 11 a.m., the Aradian branch of Family Planning 87 offers, in partnership with the Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche media library, “Stories for growing up”, stories and discussions, around the theme “No, that’s no!” How to approach consent”, for children aged 6 to 8. Dance

Saturday June 1, the John-Lennon cultural center in Limoges welcomes from 8:30 p.m. the CDC Show, a dance competition with six teams from Limoges who will present their best choreographies. The public will have the power to decide who deserves the €500 prize. In addition to this competition, many other gifts will be won on site. Doors open at 8 p.m. Entry €7.

Music

Organized for more than ten years in Limoges, the Notes de rue festival is moving this year to Dorat. Saturday June 1st, ten orchestras affiliated with the Confédération Musicale de France will take turns at the Halle aux Grains and Place de la Collégiale to introduce the public to repertoires of all styles, variety, jazz, classical, film music, etc. The festival will begin at 5 p.m. with the performance of one hundred students from the harmony course which took place during the Easter holidays in Dorat, and will close around 10 p.m. with the Haute-Vienne Departmental Orchestra. Electric bikes

At Magn’accueil, an all-terrain electric bike rental service is now offered. To promote this new system, a discovery afternoon will be organized, with the possibility of small free accompanied outings. Appointment is given Saturday June 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Magn’accueil, 15 place de la République in Magnac-Laval where four mountain bikes will be available, free 30-minute accompanied trials upon registration and presentation of routes to do around Magnac-Laval. Citizenship

A new tour of the villages will begin on Saturday June 1st in Veyrac. Initiated in 2022 on the occasion of the Veyrac Tiers Village project, this new tour will, two years later, allow us to meet the residents. It is always an opportunity for frank and friendly discussions. It brings together elected officials from the municipal council, involved members of the participatory council and young elected officials from the municipal youth council. Meet the locals on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mas de Glane and from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lande du Poirier and Peury.. The tour will then continue on Saturday June 8, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at La Pacaille and from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at La Grange de Bœil and La Barre. Saturday June 15, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Cinq Routes, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Village (in front of the library, opposite the church). The people of Vyrac are invited to join these meetings as close as possible to their village, near the billboards.

Summer evening

To start the summer season off right, Lou Marandou is organizing its first festive and gourmet evening Saturday June 1st. The “la p’tite Krêpe” food truck will welcome you in front of the La Chapelle-Montbrandeix community grocery store. Pink

A new edition of the Saint-Yrieix-sous-Aixe Rose Festival will take place on Sunday June 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the presence of many renowned rose growers, but also craftsmen, artists, creators, traders… This year, a rose will be named Suzanne Valadon in memory of the famous painter born in 1865 in Bessines-sur-Gartempe. An exhibition will be dedicated to him all day in the municipal council room. The baptism of this new rose will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the courtyard behind the town hall where the traditional rose kir offered by the festival committee will be shared. The church will once again be decorated by the Atelier Saint-Priest for a harp, singing and violin concert at 3 p.m. by musicians from the Harpamaëlle association of Aixe-sur-Vienne. Under the music of Bella & Babar’s barrel organ, various activities will be offered during the day, including games for children. A hot meal will be served in the village hall from 12:30 p.m. by the Le Garage inn (reservation possible on 06.87.23.06.84) and different traders will offer different savory and sweet treats throughout the day. Garage sale

Sunday June 2, on the Place du Champ-de-Foire in Oradour-sur-Vayres, the local judo club is organizing its traditional garage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshment bar and catering on site.

Dancing tea

Lotto

The wrestling section of the secular association of Palais-sur-Vienne organizes the Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 a lottery at the Gérard-Philipe village hall.
