The man was placed in pre-trial detention and indicted for acts of rape, sexual assault and corruption against around ten minors in Franche-Comté between 2015 and 2023, confirmed to the AFP the public prosecutor of Lons-le-Saunier, Julie Fergane, confirming information from the newspaper The Republican East.
On the run in Chile
He is suspected of events which occurred while he lived in Tassenières, a village of around 400 inhabitants in the Jura. The man, of French nationality, fled in June 2023 to Chile, but an international arrest warrant, quickly distributed, made it possible to locate him in this Latin American country in March 2024, when he had already started to rebuild his life there.
