Rail traffic between Chavornay (VD) and Yverdon-les-Bains (VD), interrupted Thursday by the flooding of a stream, partially resumed Friday morning. Regional trains are running normally again, unlike mainline trains, announced the CFF.

The railway line was flooded on Thursday around 1:30 p.m. on a large portion of the section linking Ependes (VD) to Chavornay, following a flood of the Combes stream. A track is available again after clearing work, specify the CFF. Operations are continuing to clear the second lane.

Regional traffic has been able to resume, but the circulation of mainline trains (IC5) remains suspended until further notice. Direct buses replace the canceled trains between Yverdon-les-Bains and Morges (VD) and between Yverdon-les-Bains and Lausanne at least until 2 p.m., the CFF specified in a press release.
