Shortly before 8 a.m. this Thursday, October 24, 2024, the Sarthe emergency services were called to a traffic accident that occurred in the south of the department, on a country road linking the municipalities of Flée and Montval-sur-Loir, near from the place called La-Petite-Clergerie.
Two children on board
According to the gendarmerie, only one car was involved in this accident. The driver lost control of her vehicle and ended up in a ditch after rolling over several times.
Two children were also on board. One of them – a seven-year-old girl – died. The other child, a 5-year-old boy, was taken care of by emergency services, as was the driver. They were transported to the Le Mans hospital center.
The gendarmerie affirms that there is no “no particular concerns” concerning the state of physical health of these two victims.
