The project
The objective of “ single ticket », presented this Thursday May 23, 2024following a steering committee by Patrice Vergriete, Minister Delegate in charge of Transport, is to experiment, from the end of 2024a solution allowing end-to-end journeys throughout the national territory with a single transport ticket .
This involves linking together regional and local ticketing systems to simplify the routeusers.
The participants
The regions selected for the first experimental phase are Normandy, Pays de la Loire and Centre-Val de Loire, particularly on the Caen – Le Mans – Tours axis, with the participation of the three metropolises.
These territories offer “a favorable environment for testing different user journeys, validating technical proposals, improving and gradually extending the service to users making interregional door-to-door trips”.
The other partner territories, in particular the Southern region, will participate “in the co-construction of national, replicable and operational guidelines to facilitate the distribution of transport tickets”.
Evaluation and feedback will be essential for a national deployment in 2025warns the government.
The reaction
Present during this first steering committee, Jean-Baptiste Gastinne, vice-president of the Normandy Region in charge of transport, was delighted with this experiment.
