Aveyron farmers mobilized for Pink October with the “Pink Boxes” operation

This year, the farmers of the FDSEA of Aveyron wanted to mobilize during the Pink October campaign to raise awareness among women in the agricultural world about breast cancer screening.

Just as the Lot organized it last year, the section of women farmers of the FDSEA of Aveyron in partnership with the elected officials of the MSA Midi-Pyrénées carried out a “Pink Boxes” operation in favor of women affected by breast cancer.

This solidarity action, accessible to all, consisted of making a box, preferably pink, by slipping inside a care product, a fun element, a treat, all accompanied by a message of support.

In order to facilitate the delivery of boxes, several sites had been identified in the Aveyron department. Many farmers, employees of OPA (professional agricultural organizations), but also schools and an ADMR participated in this outpouring of solidarity.

During the press conference held this Tuesday, October 22, the elected representatives of the farmers' section of the FDSEA and the MSA were able to deliver, following this action, more than 100 pink boxes to the League Against Cancer .

DR

Martine Béteillegeneral secretary of the League's Aveyron committee, took the opportunity to reiterate the importance of screening. In fact, this makes it possible to diagnose certain cancers early, before the appearance of symptoms, and to be able to treat them better.

The elected representatives of the FDSEA of Aveyron and the MSA MPN as well as the representatives of the Aveyron committee of the League against Cancer wanted to thank everyone who participated in this operation.

Let’s take care of ourselves and remember “ in the face of cancer, we are stronger together ».
