Following the successive closure, six months apart, of the two hair salons in Gâvre (for non-professional reasons for one and for medical reasons for the other), the municipality decided to act.

Loire-Atlantique: the only hairdresser in this village has reopened its doors

This is what Mayor Nicolas Oudaert, also vice-president of Pays de Blain Community, explains. “The municipality’s desire was to see a hairdressing salon open.

We we contacted the Chamber of Trades and crafts of Loire-Atlantique, so that it can carry out a market study, including a feasibility study and an activity forecast. The goal was to give all the elements to interested potential professionals. »

The study largely confirmed the potential and viability of the activity in the municipality.

Continuing on, the Pays de Blain Community has made a call for video applications in order to facilitate the creation of a new show. This is the third promotional video produced by Pays de Blain.

Already two videos made

The first concerned the Rapid’Couture boutique in Blain, which found a buyer. The second, a bakery in Bouvron, but which did not have the expected success. “However, this remains a somewhat tense sector of activity. According to Frédéric Brangeon, president of the Chamber of Trades and president of artisan bakers in Loire-Atlantique, 80% of bakeries are for sale. »

Virginie Sichère, economic developer in Pays de Blain, underlines that “the testimonies presented in the video perfectly illustrated the expectations of the residents and traders of Gâvre and confirmed the potential of this future business”.

A new salon has opened

The president of the community of municipalities, Rita Schladt, specifies that “the call for video applications is part of an approach to supporting local commerce supported by Pays de Blain Community”.

The call for applications was released on Tuesday January 16. The video was well shared on social networks and the Community of Municipalities received nearly ten applications. “The candidates had different profiles. There were project leaders wanting to create a hair salon and managers wishing to create a second salon. »

Finally, project leader Anais Hamon created and opened the Studio Bello By Anais salon, at 5, rue de l’église. The vice-president of Pays de Blain specifies that she was supported by Acte44, which supports project leaders in Pays de Blain.
