A mess of activities during the All Saints’ Day holidays

It is now a tradition celebrated throughout France. The Halloween festival, which appeared in France at the end of the 1990s, is now well anchored in our customs. Every October 31, children parade through the streets in disguise and knock on doors to collect candy. But many other events are planned for them before this dateespecially during the holidays, a period when it is not always easy to find activities for them. Halloween Party at Chalabre Castle

On the borders of Aude and Ariège, the Château de Chalabre, which houses a medieval theme park, opens its doors for the first time during the All Saints’ Day holidays. On this occasion, Halloween-themed entertainment and decoration await visitorsincluding a treasure hunt. Entrance price: from 18 euros.

Entertainment on the beach at Chalets de Gruissan

From October 26 to 31, several establishments on the Chalets de Gruissan beach are dressed in Halloween colors. This year, a treasure hunt is organized several times for families: October 26, 27, 30 and 31, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Two special guided tours of the Cabrespine chasm

In Minervois, north of Carcassonne, the Cabrespine chasm, one of the most visited underground sites in France, offers October 31st a day mixing terror and fun. On the program: two guided tours at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., as well as a self-guided tour with audio guide the rest of the day. A raffle with stuffed animals and candies is also planned. Good deal: disguised children will benefit from a preferential rate for them and their family.
