for All with the Mobile Museum in the heart of Peyrouat in the Landes

The MuMo is intended to reach audiences who do not have easy access to by setting up directly in their living spaces: schoolyards, leisure centers, car parks, public squares. For five days, this museum truck offers a unique opportunity to discover art within the priority district of Peyrouat.

From October 21 to 25, the Mobile Museum (MuMo) is set up opposite Lacaze Park for an exhibition combining comics and contemporary art. This event is the result of a collaboration between the Cité internationale de la Bande Dessinée et de l’Image and the FRAC Poitou-Charentes. Born from the conviction that art is a tool for openness, sharing and awakening to the world, MuMo offers a first contact with contemporary creation to people who are furthest from it.

An Innovative Exhibition

The exhibition proposed by MuMo combines comics and contemporary art, creating a unique visual and intellectual experience. The interior exhibition space, inspired by a cabinet of curiosities, offers total immersion in a varied artistic universe. In addition to this interior gallery, the museum has a small auditorium, dedicated to the projection of artists’ videos. This space allows visitors to discover works from another angle, thanks to projections which enrich the understanding of contemporary art.

Artistic Practice Workshops

The MuMo outdoor space is designed to host artistic practice workshops and exhibitions of student work. These workshops provide participants with a hands-on opportunity to interact with art and develop their own creativity. Direct interaction with art through these workshops allows for a better understanding and deeper appreciation of the works presented.

Reception of Various Audiences

The MuMo will welcome schoolchildren, people from the social and medico-social fields, including residents of the Les Girandières residence, EHPADs, and neighborhood associations such as Moustey and et Services. These visitors will have the opportunity to discover the exhibition in a suitable and friendly setting. In addition to reserved visits, the MuMo will open its doors to the general public during open afternoons on October 22, 23 and 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. These afternoons will allow everyone to come and discover the works and participate in the activities offered.

The Impact of Mobile Art

MuMo represents an innovative initiative in the field of cultural mediation. By reaching out to audiences far removed from traditional artistic institutions, this mobile museum contributes to the democratization of access to art. The exhibition of comics and contemporary art encourages visitors to think about the world around them, encourages personal expression and promotes open-mindedness.
