The Fête de la Musique returns to Paris and everywhere else in Île-de-France on Friday June 21, 2024 with a slew of free concerts to discover in several unmissable places, such as the Luxembourg Gardens. Here is the program!
Once a year, budding musicians and amateur singers are invited to take to the streets to celebrate music and make music resonate in all its forms. For over 40 years now, the Music Festival is celebrated throughout France to the great delight of music lovers. Launched in 1982 by Jack Lang, former Minister of Culture, the Music Festival has come a long way in all these years, to the point of being exported abroad. It must be said that the concept of Music Festival seduced.
Every June 21, the Music Festival is an opportunity to introduce one’s talent to as many people as possible or to discover emerging artists. From rock to rap through classical, jazz, blues, zouk, electro or even French variety… all styles are highlighted on 21st of Junein the street of course, but also in churches and museums or even in parks and gardens.
This year, the Luxembourg Garden opens its doors to several good musical deals on the occasion of the Music Festival. Considered by many tourists to be “the most beautiful garden in Europe“, THE Luxembourg Garden attracts many visitors each year. Located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris and extending over 23 hectares, the Luxembourg Gardens were created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Medici to accompany the Luxembourg Palace.

Friday June 21, 2024the music will therefore resonate within the Luxembourg Garden on the occasion of the news Music Festival. In the program ? A concert to honor the fight of women in Iran and elsewhere, to be discovered at the kiosk in the Luxembourg Gardens, as well as a queer jazz pop concert performed by a Taiwanese group.

This concert aims to honor the fight of women in Iran and elsewhere. Two singers will sing in Persian, French and Italian. The songs will be accompanied by guitarists and keyboard players. There will also be a Daf (Iranian drumming) session.

Friday June 21, 2024 – 8:30 p.m. ⤏ 9:00 p.m.This concert will take place around 9:00 p.m., acoustically, at an entrance to the Jardin du Luxembourg. It will last 30 minutes. The group will perform six songs while playing their musical instruments, including both original compositions and covers of 2000s Mandarin Pop classics.
“RainDayPreparation” is a jazz pop group born in Taiwan in 2022. In rainy and gloomy Taipei, their mission is to “share the public’s concerns on rainy days” as the main goal.
Their musical style blends jazz and soul, continually creating extraordinary and unique sounds through soulful collisions between band members.
The music of “RainDayPreparation” will transport us to another dimension, leaving all distractions behind, allowing us to deeply feel the present moment.
