Closed for a year and a half (on May 28, 2023 precisely), following the filing of bankruptcy by the former managers, the Clemence restaurant could reopen in December “before the end-of-year holidays”, says the mayor of Saint-Julien-de-Concelles Thierry Agasse, The Weekly of Sèvre et Maine.
The town of Saint-Julien-de-Concelles sold the restaurant
The municipality, which had owned the walls since its purchase in 2003, took action the sale of one’s property for the sum of €460,000 excluding tax at the start of the summer.
The signing with the “new buyers” must take place in November.
They wanted the walls back, hence why the city council approved the sale. The only thing we demanded was to keep the name Clémence. They accepted.
Emblematic restaurant on the banks of the Loire, on the Chebuette side of Saint-Julien-de-Concelles (near Nantes), it bears the name of the creator of the famous white butter sauce right here at the end of the 19th centurye century.
The arrival of the new managers, whose identity has not been revealed, will delight more than one in the town and the Nantes region.
