It was predictable. Hamlets were affected by rising water levels in Vue and Cordemais in -Atlantique. Nearly ten firefighters intervened this Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 6 p.m.

Heavy rains combined with high tide are the cause, according to emergency services. Reconnaissance and drying were carried out.

Yellow alert

As of Wednesday morning, residents were informed that the Loire-Atlantique was placed on yellow “rain-flood” alert on October 16 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., a week after the passage of Storm Kirk.

Floods were expected on the Loire-Estuaire section.
