It was Lilith’s baptism this Wednesday evening in the Sacré-Cœur church in . The “Guardian of Darkness” machine had the right to its little moment before the big show which will take place from October 25 to 27 in the heart of the Pink City. And this moment felt more like a funeral than a festive celebration.

On the occasion of a mass bringing together nearly a thousand believers, the Church persisted and signed. Archbishop Guy de Kerimel had, in fact, announced that he wanted to “perform a spiritual act which will protect our city of Toulouse and our diocese from these dark threats and despair”, after the announcement of the urban opera “ The Portal of Darkness. A religious consecration of the city and the diocese which took place this Wednesday in front of the steel and wood giants who will survey the city.

Before the assembly of believers, the message could and should be “scary”. From “obscurantism” to “Satanism” everything was there to evaluate the evolution of “French society”. The archbishop did not mince his words to reiterate his concerns about the Lilith machine and the underlying messages.

“We are attacked every day”

“We don’t realize how we Catholics are attacked every day. Thanks to this mass, it was time to talk about our persecution. The important thing is the problems that excise in because of the left and other religions,” says Anne-Marie, who came on purpose “because it has become political. The proof… Basis based on the presence of around twenty police officers and security people. “A habit in this type of event”, slips 20 Minutesa security guard. “A spectacle that I don’t want to see,” continues the Catholic who will leave the city center on purpose that weekend.

On the other side of the benches of believers, regulars of the Sacré-Cœur church who have never seen so many people and think, for some, of a presence of faith. “We are sisters and it is an event that the archbishop comes to do his mass here,” says a nun shyly.

With family…

“It’s not every year. We know why he is there and why there are so many people,” admits Enguerrand. “But, in reality, who does this mass harm? It costs nothing,” adds the student believer. He will not deprive himself of the gigantic spectacle of La Machine. “Not everything is religion and not everything is persecution,” puts Fabien, another young person on site, into perspective.

“A waste of time, a missed fun and absolute navel-gazing when you know the news,” says a priest from the diocese preferring anonymity. “The mass has a specific purpose. She is religious. Under no circumstances should it enter into futile debates. Joy must enter into us and this event is part of it”… concludes the man of the church who dissociates himself from this “false mass”.
