This weekend of October 12 and 13, 2024 already marked the fourth day of the Departmental 1 Intersport championship, and the Pool A and B matches did not disappoint, with a shower of goals and surprising results.
In Pool A, FC GRAVES 2 opened the ball on Saturday by sharing the points with LIBOURNE FA 2024 after a competitive match which ended with a score of 2-2. Both teams went head to head, but neither was able to gain the advantage.
On Sunday, AS TAILLANAISE 2 shone with a convincing 3-0 victory against SC ST SYMPHORIEN, confirming its rise in power at the start of the season. A solid performance which allows the team to stay in the race for the top of the table.
In a particularly spectacular match, STADE BLAYAIS won 4-2 against ES FRONSADAIS FOOT. This victory allows the Blayais to follow up with a second victory in two games and to assert themselves a little more at the start of the championship.
For its part, US COUTRAS demonstrated great offensive efficiency by beating FC CŒUR MÉDOC ATLANTIQUE 2 with a clear score of 8-2. The Coutrillons took control of the match from the kick-off and gave their opponents no chance, despite their two goals during the match.
SJ MACAUDAISE also had a good day, winning 3-1 against HAILLAN FOOT 33. This success at home allows the Macau players to maintain their first place in the standings.
Finally, ES AUDENGE 2 snatched a precious victory in a close duel against FC ATHLETIC 89. In a match full of twists and turns, the Audengeois finally managed to make the difference in the last moments, thus offering their supporters a great victory with a score of 3-2.
As for Pool B, AGJA CAUDÉRAN took the lead over ES BLANQUEFORTAISE 2 with a 2-0 victory. The Caudéranais managed the match perfectly in front of their supporters, controlling the game from start to finish, and signing their first victory of the season.
On Sunday, US BOUSCATAISE 3 showed solidity by winning by the smallest of margins (1-0) against BORDEAUX STUDENTS CLUB. A contested match which could have gone one way or the other, but the Bouscat players knew how to keep their cool to secure the three points.
In a confrontation rich in twists and turns, AS GENSAC MONTCARET and UNION BORDEAUX ST JEAN ASU were unable to decide between themselves, leaving each other with a score of parity 2-2. A close duel where the Bordelais managed to secure a draw in the last minute of the match.
SPUC, for its part, delivered an excellent performance by beating AVANT-GARDE VENDAYS MONTALIVET with a score of 4-1. The Pessacais continue to gain momentum and position themselves as a serious contender for the title this season.
On the side of ST MÉDARD EN JALLES 2 and CS LANTONNAIS, the two teams failed to find the fault, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. A frustrating result for both teams, who came up against two well-organized defenses.
To end with this 4th day, US ARTIGUAISE had the last word against FC TALENCE 2, winning 2-1. A difficult but valuable victory, which allows the Artiguaise to stay 3 lengths from first place.
In terms of the ranking, the SJ MACAUDAISE team is first with 9 points. It is followed by the teams of FC GRAVES 2, LIBOURNE FA 2024 and ES AUDENGE 2, who all have 7 points after 4 days. As for Pool B, CS LANTONNAIS is 3 points ahead of 2nd (SPUC), 3rd (BORDEAUX ETUDIANTS CLUB) and 4th place (US ARTIGUAISE).
