Who doesn’t have back pain, raise your finger? Who doesn’t know someone close to them who complains of nagging and chronic pain in the spine?

We know the recommendations of health authorities: keep moving when possible, do muscle strengthening, behave well when sitting, at work and at home. Despite this, many patients cannot get rid of back pain.

Low back pain

World Spine Day which takes place on October 16 is an opportunity to ask the right questions. As such, chiropractors, members of the French chiropractic association, offer free assessments, by appointment, during the week of October 14 to 19.

“We take stock of the patient’s history, the therapies already in place and, in discussion with him, we look at the place of chiropractic in his care journey,” explains Gaëtan Barbier, chiropractor in .

The AFC recalls that musculoskeletal disorders represent “one of the main causes of work stoppage”. Among these disorders that chiropractors want to prevent, we distinguish lower back pain (or lower back pain) which is today recognized as the leading cause of disability in the world.

“According to the recommendations of the High Authority for Health (HAS), care must be centered on the patient, taking into account their experience and the impact of pain on their daily life, whether physical, psychological or professional aspects”, we can read in a press release from the AFC which defends multidisciplinary care for chronic low back pain.
