Drôme – Romans – Place Jean-Jaurès: a diversion put in place

Following the requalification work on Place Jean-Jaurès, diversions have been put in place.

Work continues on the eastern sector of Place Jean-Jaurès with the complete redevelopment of the track and the southern alley which will be closed to traffic. In fact, a diversion is in place until September 2024. South of Place Jean-Jaurès to get to Boulevard Voltaire (or Côte Garenne), you will have to take the lane on your left (at rue du Puy ) then take the north lane of Place Jean-Jaurès (in front of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes) in the opposite direction and finally the Europe roundabout. Coming from Boulevard Voltaire and to reach Place Jean-Jaurès, you must take the Europe roundabout, Boulevard Marx-Dormoy, Rue Palestro and Avenue Victor-Hugo at the end of which motorists will have to turn either to the right (towards the city center), or to the left (towards the East).

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian access is maintained. The same goes for longitudinal parking on the north lane of Place Jean-Jaurès. A bus diversion is also in place from May 14 via boulevards de la Libération, Gabriel-Péri and Marx-Dormoy. Hence the temporary establishment of two bus stops, on either side of Boulevard Marx-Dormoy. In addition, Rue de la République will be used for deliveries and for household waste collection vehicles.
