Autumn colors at Domaine de Dampierre in Yvelines

Like every year, the Domaine de Dampierre in Yvelineswhere the trees of the park and gardens are adorned with their most beautiful colors in the heart of the Chevreuse valley, offers activities for celebrate autumn.

Visit, stories, dinosaur engraving and carriage ride

From October 19 to November 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., a promenade discovering the autumnal atmospheres will enliven the gardens and courtyard of the Château with “Halloween colors”, with more than 1,000 pumpkins and 500 chrysanthemums staged.

Every afternoon at 3 p.m., tales will be read to the children in the former bedroom of the Duchess of Luynes, heated for the occasion.

In the Château’s orangery, the last days of presentation of Vulcan, the largest dinosaur fossil ever presented to the publicare counted before the big sale on November 16. On the occasion of this presentation, a artistic dinosaur engraving workshop will be offered on October 23 and 24 to 5-10 year olds.

Every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, as well as the 1st^is November, a carriage ride in the garden paths is organized.

Special evening Saturday October 19

As part of the national event “The Night of the Castles”, which will take place next Saturday, October 19, the ground floor of the Château de Dampierre will open its doors for an experience musical night by moonlight.

An original discovery of the castle led by two musical ensembles inspired by the 17th century^e and XIX^e centuries. XXI atmosphere^e century on the terrace of the kiosk with the performance of a DJ.

For this evening, the Orangery will also be lit for the nighttime presentation of the Vulcan apatosaurus fossil.

Visitors will be able to walk with lanterns given to everyone for one nocturnal wandering from dusk and a discovery of the staging specific to the season.

Young and old alike will enjoy a luminous evening where everyone will leave with a head full of memories.
