Even if most municipalities have not voted to increase the property tax on buildings, the bill is sometimes steep for taxpayers in -Atlantique in 2024.

This is the case in Oudon, near Ancenis, where the property tax on buildings has taken 11 points more than in 2023!

Tax increases in 99 municipalities in Loire-Atlantique

Of the 207 municipalities in the department, only one, Basse-Goulaine, has opted for a reduction in its property tax rate of 0.64 points between 2023 and 2024.

But 99 others decided to increase their rate, from 0.16 points for Jans to 11,73 points for Oudon.

No reduction in property tax in Pays de Retz

If the municipal share of local tax rates remains stable, the tax is nevertheless increasing, the State having increased the tax bases of + 3.9%.

Among the 42 municipalities in the area covered by actu The Courrier du Pays de Retz18 increased their share of the tax on built land, and none lowered it.

For the inhabitants of these municipalities, the bill is even steeper, with bad surprises at stake, both for certain taxpayers who have seen their property tax explode and for other structures such as an Ehpah in Saint-Hilaire-de-Chaléons.

The biggest increase in Saint-Colomban

It is in Saint-Colomban (+3.14 points difference between 2023 and 2024) that the increase in the municipal share of the property tax is most notable, ahead of Machecoul-Saint-Meme (+2.76), Bouaye (+2) and Pont-Saint-Martin (+1.5).

  • Saint-Étienne-de-Mer-Morte (+0.69)
  • Saint-Viaud (+0.66)
  • The Mountain (+0.50)
  • Port-Saint-Père (+0.36)
  • Fly (+0.27)

Please note that the deadline for payment of property tax is this Sunday, October 20, 2024, in the case of online payment by internet, smartphone or tablet. With another means of payment, the limit is set for this Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
