After a very disrupted mid-week due to the passage of Storm Kirk over , weather conditions have improved since Monday. Summer temperatures above seasonal norms will even be observed this Tuesday.

Summer temperatures in the middle of autumn. After the Kirk storm, which for a time forced the authorities to place the departments of Seine-et- and Eure-et-Loir on red alert for “floods”, now there is a heat peak. “France is located in a southerly flow and therefore the heat from the Maghreb and the Iberian Peninsula reaches the country,” explains Alexandra Blanc on CNEWS. In Corsica, the maximum temperatures are expected to soar and reach 28°C. Same observation in , where the thermometer should display 29°C. It will be 25°C in and 26°C in and .

Wednesday October 16 should be a sunny day across the entire country, with the exception of the northwest and southeast where disturbances should be back.

Temperatures falling slightly on Thursday

In terms of mercury, it is the center of France which should benefit from the highest temperatures of the day. We should find 26°C in , and . The region should benefit from dry weather below 23°C, just like the Lyon region where the temperature should reach 24°C.

From Thursday October 17, a rainy disturbance should affect France with precipitation across the entire territory, with the exception of Corsica which should continue to benefit from clearings and pleasant heat, around 29°C .

In mainland France, temperatures will be above 20°C. They should be between 20°C and 23°C. On the other hand, next Friday and Saturday, the drop in temperatures should continue, due to the disturbance the day before.
